Max Batt is an independent Bay Area product designer. His cross-discipline work in new media has helped define new and future technologies, and he currently serves as Interactive Chair for AIGA SF.
Max graduated from CCA in 2011 with a distinguished degree in Graphic Design. After an initial residence at the R.I.S. Program at Cannes Film Festival, he returned to San Francisco to pursue interactive work with Hot Studio. At Hot, Max used his background in motion graphics to help evolve emerging ideas around prototyping - and developed an interest in undefined consumer experiences.
In the proceeding years, Max held a number of senior design roles that allowed him to innovate more deeply in specific areas: streaming audio at TuneIn Radio, fashion retail at Westfield Labs and iOT at Ammunition.
This product work has been recognized by Time Magazine, Fast Company and Tech Crunch, and has been featured in virtual app stores by Apple, Google, and Sony Playstation.
At AIGA SF, Max manages the digital operations of AIGA SF and SF Design Week, and works to empower the Bay Area design community via programming, education and networking opportunities.
He has also worked directly with other area non-profits, including SFMOMA and the San Francisco Short Film Festival.
