Michele Pred is a Swedish-American conceptual artist and art career coach. She has been teaching at CCA since 2006.

Pred works with found and confiscated objects and technology imbued with cultural and political meaning. Her artwork has been exhibited in galleries, art fairs, and museums in London, Stockholm, New York, Bologna, Sydney, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco. Pred's work is part of the permanent collection at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) New York, 21st Century Museum, the Contemporary Museum in Honolulu, the Di Rosa in Napa, California, and is held in numerous corporate and private collections. She is the founder of the San Francisco Bay Area-based art collective Quorum. Pred has an upcoming solo show in New York at Nancy Hoffman Gallery in 2013.

Her art has been reviewed and featured by the New York Times, the International Herald Tribune, Huffington Post, ARTnews, Art in America, Wired, Rachel Maddow, American Craft magazine, Travel and Leisure magazine, Ready Made magazine, Associated Press Television, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, FOX, NBC, ABC, the San Francisco Chronicle, Corriere della Sera (Italy), TV4, and Dagens Nyheter (Sweden). She recently received a grant from the Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation.

Pred is represented by the Nancy Hoffman Gallery in New York and Jack Fischer in San Francisco.
