Roman Muradov is an award-winning illustrator and the author of On Doing Nothing(In A Sense) Lost & Found, Jacob Bladders, The State of the Art, and The End of A Fence as well as the French collection, Aujourd'hui Demain Hier.

His clients include the New Yorker, the New York Times, Paris Review, the Wall Street Journal, Penguin Random House, Criterion, Vogue, MIT Technology Review, Monocle, Time, NPR, GQ, the Washington Post, Nobrow Press, Lucky Peach, Google, Motorola, Scout Books, Chronicle Books, Plansponsor, Houghton Mifflin, and Knopf.

He has Gold and Silver medals from the Society of Illustrators, Young Guns Award from the Art Directors Club, and features in numerous anthologies, competitions, conferences, and festivals.

At CCA he teaches Illustration 3, as well his own elective class, Pictures & Words, where the students explore various ways writing and drawing can intersect.
