Suzanne Redding is a practicing designer and brand consultant who works with Bay Area and national clients, including the American Red Cross, Dr Pepper, the Academy of Country Music, Sierra Designs, Levi Strauss & Co., Specialized, Sun Microsystems, and others. While at CCA, Sue developed a new curriculum called "Applied Biology for Artists and Designers." Based on Janine Benyus's concept of biomimicry, the curriculum teaches students to use nature as a source of design inspiration. In 2004 Sue was chosen to present this concept at the Industrial Designers Society of America National Education Conference in New York. She also is the author and illustrator of the acclaimed children's book Up Above and Down Below (Chronicle Books, 2006).
