FASHN-220

This class consists of one-week assignments in which students receive a written brief giving initial direction but the individual student chooses or identifies the source of inspiration from which ideas are created. Each week students present fully designed and illustrated collections for class critique which also have required the student to research and analyze a specific market or area related to fashion. The final project involves the production of an outfit, garment or product for which the time frame is 3 weeks from concept to critique. Occasional filed trips and guest lecturers' will support class content. Upon completion of the course, students will have a diverse body of work that can be used as a working foundation to building their own professional portfolio.
