Cinema and The Moving Image Arts at CCA This graduate wide elective, coordinated by Lynn Marie Kirby connects CCA students and faculty who are in interested in the practices of Cinema, Moving Image Arts and Time-based Installation through a series of master classes and conversations. Structured around screenings followed by discussion, and taught by faculty from across the school as well as from the larger arts community, the series aims to deepen dialogue in the moving image arts and foster links around these time inspired practices. The course draws its faculty, from Graduate Film, Fine Arts, Visual Critical Studies and the Wattis Institute, who engage in conversations around the moving image both in their work and in their teaching. It also connects graduates students across disciplines who are engaged in varied approaches to moving image practices, from narrative feature filmmaking to hybrid video installation forms and video based performances.
