Eleven Eleven is a biannual journal of literature and art produced by the MFA Program in Writing and other members of the California College of the Arts community.

The aim of the publication is to provide a forum for risk and experimentation and to serve as an exchange between writers and artists.

About Eleven Eleven

Founded in 2004 by Youmna Chlala and Gayle Romasanta, Eleven Eleven features the work of writers and artists from the Bay Area and around the world. We are members of CLMP, and are distributed by Small Press Distribution.

Previous issues have featured work by Cynthia Cruz, Peter Orner, Vanessa Place, Amy King, Michael Harper, Terry Bisson, Eileen Tabios, Aharon Shabtai, Cole Swenson, Renee Gladman, Rusty Morrison, Nicolás Guillén, Chris Abani, Alain de Botton, and Alison Doernberg, whose work in issue six was selected for Dzanc Books' Best of the Web 2010.

Submission Deadlines

We welcome daring and insightful submissions of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art and literary criticism, and visual art. We read year-round and consider work until November 1 for our winter online issue and March 1 for our summer printed issue.
