GRAPH-368

The Advanced Design Studios support the complex and unique role of today's Graphic Designer. These studio options aim to provide a deeper exploration and a choice of learning within a specific professional arena. Courses are proposed by faculty and cover 2D, 3D and 4D categories. Studio options may vary from semester to semester. This will be an intensive, advanced course exploring the elements of identity design for graphic design students. Assignments may involve the process of naming; designing symbols or icon systems; customizing letterforms or reviving historical typefaces to create wordmarks; developing a holistic identity that includes a trademark, typography, a color palette, and other elements such as patterns; and applying identities across different "platforms," from print to screen to the physical environment (for instance, signage).
