Traveling Scholars Program

Established in 2000, the Matthew R. Mills Traveling Scholars Program provides Interior Design students the opportunity to travel as a cohort with members of the faculty, visiting cities such as Columbus, Indiana; Shaker Village, Kentucky; Chicago; Palm Springs; and Las Vegas.

Students explore broad design-related themes, including materials, communities of making, design-driven environments, and branded environments.

Each year between 10 and 19 students have the benefit to travel with Matthew Mills during their junior year, receive his participation in critiques, or both.

The program receives support from the Architectural Foundation of San Francisco.
