Through in depth studies of the performance, assembly and aesthetics of architectural details, students develop the ability to translate global design intent to the scale of their details. This course is a laboratory where students will analyze details of published built work, research materials and assembly techniques of buildings that appeal to them, participate in field trips to construction sites with construction documents in hand, and learn to take work conducted in design studio to the next level of design development
