CCA Architecture Masters students are required to independently develop a well-defined architectural interest in their final year of study. All students prepare a summer design manual prior to the thesis year. Students then enroll in Independent Research Lab (IRL) in the fall semester. In the spring, students enroll in a Thesis Research Studio with either an independently developed or directed topic. A thesis coordinator manages all aspects of the program in consultation with a thesis committee made up of the Chair, Program Director, and selected ranked architecture faculty.
