This course introduces students to a wide range of approaches forapplying color to jewelry and small sculpture. Non-ferrous metalswill be the primary medium but many of the applications can be translated onto steel. Techniques covered will include traditional, experimental and contemporary approaches with astrong emphasis on enameling techniques and patination. Students are encouraged to experiment and explore to discover new possibilities and outcomes, with a central focus on thetransformative powers of color on form. Additional materials fee will be charged.
