TEXTL-204

In this print course, students explore complex compositions on cloth created by stenciled dye, block-printed pigment, screen printing, paste resists, and selective color removal on a variety of fabrics. By layering these processes onto commercial or hand-dyed fabric surfaces, a visual depth can be achievedwith images and patterns emerging clearly or receding furtively. Research on pattern and narrative imagery contributes to thedevelopment of conceptual concerns and provides knowledge ofhistorical precedents.
