CCA-Funded Scholarships

CCA funds the following scholarship opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students:

Undergraduate Students

Creative Achievement Awards

This merit scholarship competition is open to all high school seniors applying for fall admission who have completed their admissions application by February 1.

Awards are based on a student's academic achievement and creative ability (as demonstrated by their portfolio). In 2012-13, the college awarded more than a million dollars to first-year students entering in fall 2012.

The awards, which range up to $20,000, may be renewed for four years of full-time enrollment if the recipient maintains good academic standing.

Faculty Honors Awards

The competition is open to direct transfer applicants who are seeking their first bachelor's degree and plan to begin their studies at CCA..

Awards are based on a student's academic achievement and creative ability (as demonstrated by their portfolio). In 2012-13, the college awarded more than $375,000 to transfer students entering in fall 2012.

The awards, which range up to $10,000, may be renewed for four years of full-time enrollment if the recipient maintains good academic standing.

Diversity Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded to qualified high school and transfer students entering in the fall semester who demonstrate financial need and bring diverse experiences, ideas, and creative work to the CCA community.

The scholarships, in combination with other CCA scholarships, federal and state grants, can cover up to the full tuition for the 2012-13 academic year. The scholarships may be renewed for four years of full-time enrollment if the recipient maintains good academic standing.

CCA Scholastic Awards

CCA provides $2,000 merit scholarship awards to national recipients of the Portfolio Categories of the Scholastic Art, Photography & Writing Awards who plan to attend CCA in the fall. The CCA Scholastic Award is renewable and may be awarded in conjunction with other CCA merit scholarships.

All-College Honors

Merit prizes awarded based on a juried portfolio review. Enrolled undergraduate students are eligible to submit portfolios for this one-year prize.

Recipients must be in good academic standing and enrolled full time for the fall semester following the competition.

Named & Emeritus Scholarships

Merit and need-based scholarships awarded to undergraduate students based on scholarship-specific eligibility criteria. Recipients must be enrolled full time and in good academic standing.

Emeritus recipients must be nominated by CCA faculty.

CCA Scholarships

Awarded to students with demonstrated financial need based on their academic achievement. Recipients must be U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens and be enrolled full time. Students in their graduating semester may request a prorated award for less than full-time enrollment.

Trustees' Scholarship & President's Scholarship

Awarded to continuing students with demonstrated financial need and at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Recipients must be U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens and be enrolled full time. Students in their graduating semester may request a prorated award for less than full-time enrollment.

Graduate Students

CCA Graduate Merit Scholarships

The graduate admissions committee selects outstanding students for the prestigious graduate merit scholarships. These renewable scholarships, which range up to $36,000, are open to all prospective graduate students. Recipients must be enrolled full time.
