CCA's Humanities and Sciences division and the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco bring you two never-before-told tales of real heroism in this evening of discussion. Merging graphic novels and popular nonfiction, the Pulp series delivers history in a new format. Salon.com writers David Talbot and Gary Kamiya, with illustrators Spain Rodriguez and Jeffrey Smith, will introduce their thrilling, behind-the-scenes tales. In Shadow Nights, Winston Churchill creates a top-secret organization to subvert Hitler. Devil Dog features a Marine who battles around the globe and uncovers a plot to kill FDR.
