Joëlle Jolivet is an internationally acclaimed French illustrator. She grew up near Paris and studied graphic design before turning her art to book illustration. Today her works have been exhibited around the world and the books she has collaborated on have been translated in many languages. In 2007 the book 365 Penguins that she cleverly illustrated (written by Jean-Luc Fromental) became a New York Times bestseller.

Publishers Weekly has called her books "vibrant . . . dazzling," and School Library Journal wrote her books "are as aesthetically impressive as they are informative."
