Matthew E. May is the author of three books, including In Pursuit of Elegance: Why the Best Ideas Have Something Missing, a 2009 Inc. magazine best seller. His first book was The Elegant Solution: Toyota’s Formula for Mastering Innovation (2006), a project that grew out of his work as a senior advisor at the University of Toyota.
One of May’s core concerns is the value of innovation and the emotional connections that drive decisions made by consumers. In his CCA lecture, he will share stories about the art of simplification, and how elegant solutions can be applied to products, processes, and problem solving.
