Join the CCA Alumni Association as we team up with City Arts & Lectures for a meet-up you won't want to miss -- a conversation between poet August Kleinzahler and photographer Alec Soth!

August Kleinzahler

August Kleinzahler published his first book of poetry, A Calendar of Airs, in 1978. Since then he has published eight others.

The Strange Hours Travelers Keep (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2003) won the Griffin International Poetry Prize. His next book of poetry, The Hotel Oneira is forthcoming by FSG this month.

Alec Soth

Alec Soth is a photographer who was born and based in Minneapolis. His photographs have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including the 2004 Whitney and São Paulo Biennials.

In 2008 a large survey exhibition of Soth’s work was exhibited at Jeu de Paume in Paris and Fotomuseum Winterthur in Switzerland. And in 2010 the Walker Art produced a large survey exhibition of his work entitled, From Here To There.
