CCA and the American Craft Council copresent an all-day symposium that explores the influence of the next generation of makers on the marketplace and crossover strategies for leaving the academic environment.

Craft Forward-ing builds on the momentum of 2011’s symposium Craft Forward and continues the college’s ongoing commitment to furthering dialogues around contemporary craft practice.

Confirmed Speakers

The symposium will feature guest speakers to address such topics as creative entrepreneurship, working in multiple worlds (from the gallery to social engagement to the marketplace), and how craft processes can feed diverse and sustainable practices.

Visit the Craft Forward website for program and event details as they develop.

The American Craft Council is a national, nonprofit educational organization founded in 1943 by Aileen Osborn Webb. The mission of the Council is to promote understanding and appreciation of contemporary craft.
