The following Ceramics alumni will be featured:

Ben Belknap

Ben Belknap is an artist and musician who lives and works in Oakland. His artwork consists primarily of small-scale, richly glazed ceramic sculpture. In 2003 he received a BA from CCA and has since had art at various galleries around the Bay Area and elsewhere.

His work can be seen at the Compound Gallery and Studios in Oakland, a very successful cooperative gallery and studio established by CCA alumni.

Carol Koffel

Carol Koffel states: "I create site-specific installations using transparent catchments suspended from masonry line to represent ideal habitats. Porcelain vessels teeter without attachment so that they register and reflect natural forces within the spatial and visual realm. The array of line and form takes on structure to personify conscious and unconscious difference."

Koffel has exhibited at the New Leaf Design Center received her BS at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She received an MFA from CCA in 2011.

Erik Scollon

Erik Scollon is an artist and writer based in Oakland. In 2008 he was selected to participate in Yerba Buena Center for the Art's Bay Area Now 5, and his work has been seen in art galleries, craft fairs, museum shows, design blogs, and gay biker bars.

He received an MFA in ceramics in 2007 and an MA in Visual and Critical Studies in 2008, both from CCA. He is represented by Romer Young Gallery in San Francisco and his next show will open in April 2013.
