John Kahrs is an animator and filmmaker with credits on feature films with Pixar, Disney, and Blue Sky Studios. In 2012 Kahrs won an Academy Award and an Annie Award for his short film, Paperman.

This short film is considered a hybrid animation because it blends the beauty and expression of traditional 2D animation with the precision of 3D computer animation techniques.
