Tom Strala is an architect who builds no houses, but rather tables, chairs, and lamps. Strala creates pieces with the idea that items for the home -- including basic necessities such as furniture and lighting -- should be designed with the intent that they are a work of sculptural art.
Based in Switzerland, he considers himself an architect of the interior, yet takes inspiration from the natural world -- using atypical angles and organic patterns in his designs.
