In comics, "emanata" are lines drawn around the head to indicate shock, surprise, and stress. A common symbol is sweat flying off the overworked protagonist's brow.
All of us shed sweat and tears during this first year of CCA's MFA in Comics program. This show is our work in progress.

Eric Stephenson, publisher of Image Comics, is giving a free talk (as part of CCA's summer lecture series) right before the Emanata opening reception.
