In the continuation of a “series within a series,” the focus of this night is to feature artists and founders of The Compound Gallery, who will discuss the creation and shaping of this popular Oakland gallery, its function as an art business, its philosophy, and how it differs from other existing businesses run by young artists in the East Bay.

Although not all speakers are CCA alumni, the subject of life after art school is still one that benefits all.

About the Compound Gallery

Conversations and interactions between studio artists replace traditional classes. Artists are often seen using traditional tools and methods in unconventional ways.

The Compound studios provide an interdisciplinary workspace for artists. More than just a community of artists, the Compound Gallery -- and studios -- has established itself as a noteworthy place for art collectors to find cutting-edge art in a variety of media.
