About the Fine Arts All-College Honors and Scholarship Awards

Students who are undergraduate Fine Arts majors are eligible for the Undergraduate Fine Arts Award(s), which are juried each Spring semester. All students who meet the eligibility requirements must apply through the Fine Arts office to be considered for the award, with the exception of Animation and Film majors. All eligible Animation and Film majors are considered for the award based on their participation in Junior Review. There is no connection between the Undergraduate Fine Arts Award(s) and Junior Review for any programs other than Animation and Film.

Awards are determined by a faculty panel and given in the categories of 2D, 3D, 4D (Film), Animation, and the following named scholarships:

  • Ralls Scholarship: Painting majors

  • Mikae Hara Scholarship: Painting or Printmaking majors

  • Benedict Scholarship: Alternates between Fine Arts and Design annually, all Fine Arts applicants considered
