Stanford Hospital Trauma Center and Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition have partnered with the Center for Art and Public Life and CCA Design division to engage CCA students in developing a unique and powerful safety campaign to transform the relationship between drivers and riders in Silicon Valley.
The Sprint challenges CCA students, split into teams of 4-5 persons, to respond to the challenge below.
- How can we improve the relationship between motorists and cyclists in Silicon Valley?
- And, how can we encourage behavior change to ensure the safety of all on the road?
At the award ceremony on Sunday, November 17, one team will be awarded $1,500 to refine their proposal for a bicycle safety campaign to be piloted in Silicon Valley.
There are 50 spots available. Students may sign up as a team (4-5 persons) or as an individual. Registration closes Monday, November 11, or when 50 students have registered, whichever comes first. Students will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
We also encourage CCA faculty to participate as design mentors on Saturday, November 16 (1-5 p.m. or 6-9 p.m.)
