Joost van Bleiswijk was born in Delft in 1976. He graduated in 2001 and received critical acclaim for his "outlines" series. He mainly works on his own collections of which the "no glue no screw" series has been a major part since 2006. Every year, "no glue no screw" becomes more complicated, interesting, and architectural.
In addition to his own collections, he works for companies such as Ahrend, Bruut furniture, the City of Eindhoven, design connection, Lebesque, Secondome, Linteloo, Bernhardt, and Venice Projects.
His work is sold through international galleries including Moss gallery, New York, and Vivid gallery, Rotterdam, and exhibited by international museums such as the Holon Design Museum in Israel and the Zuiderzee Museum in The Netherlands.
Craftsmanship and traditional techniques are important to van Bleiswijk. He chooses to work not only with sustainable materials but also with products that have an everlasting and timeless image.
