Important: CCA is announcing an important change to the Health Insurance Waiver process! Please read now »
Welcome! The Office of Student Accounts assists students with the following functions:
- handling billing for tuition, housing, insurance, and miscellaneous fees
- creating and explaining payment options
- helping students understand their student account and billing statement
- explaining how financial aid awards are posted to student accounts
- paying current and past-due balances
Student Privacy Rights
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) protects student privacy rights by setting strict limits on the disclosure of their education records. This means that besides CCA staff, third parties -- including spouses and parents -- may not have access to a student's account information without a student's written permission.
It is the student’s responsibility to forward billing information to a parent or third party who is assisting that student with payment. In order to assist families or third parties who are making payments on behalf of a student, that student may elect to sign and submit the Student Account Authorization to Release form.
By signing this form, the student gives permission for only the named person(s) to get access to certain student account information through the Student Accounts Office.
Each office at CCA maintains its own release form. To authorize access to information maintained by other departments, please contact the appropriate CCA office.
Third-Party Access Using WebAdvisor
A student may also elect to give a parent or third party access to view their student account information online by requesting an additional WebAdvisor log in for the parent or third party. For more information, visit “Grant Rights to Parent/Guardian/Other," located under the Student menu at webadvisor.cca.edu.
(Note: Student-granted access to the WebAdvisor student portal is not a replacement for the Student Account Authorization to Release form)
Tuition, Housing Charges & Miscellaneous Fees
Tuition charges are billed per term and are based on the number of units for which a student is registered, by course or program, or both. In addition to tuition and course fees, students may be charged mandatory fees associated with their enrollment.
Housing charges are also billed by term. See also 2014-15 Schedule of Fees for a complete listing of all fees.
Health Insurance & Online Insurance Waiver
For important information and for the direct link to the Online Waiver Application, see Online Insurance Waiver FAQ
All full-time students (registered in 12 or more units for all programs -- except the Graduate Program in Visual and Critical Studies and the continuing students in the MFA Writing Program, where 9 units is considered full time) are automatically charged for health insurance upon registration.
Fees can only be reversed by having an approved Health Insurance Waiver.
