Senior Director for Career Development
Kate has over 15 years of professional experience with more than 10 years of career development expertise in higher education and a master’s degree in career development.
She has a background in executive recruiting and previously served as the director for Career Services at Mills College.
Kate has also run her own career coaching and organizational review business. She brings passion, purpose, and focus to her work with students and alumni. Kate has a strong professional network and is dedicated to supporting students and alumni in their own unique career journey.
She brings energy and a deep knowledge of life and career transitions to her work.

Associate Director for Academic & Career Development | San Francisco
Marianne has over 12 years of experience in higher education. In her previous roles she helped charter two generations of the undergraduate advising program at CCA.
As a painter, she has an active studio practice and is represented by Hang Art Gallery in San Francisco. Focusing on experiential learning opportunities, Marianne brings together her expertise in advising and her background in art and design to support students and alumni bridging from their academic to professional life.

Erin Wheeler, MFA
Assistant Director for Career Development | Oakland
Erin lived and worked in New York for nine years before moving back to the Bay Area in 2012. She worked in education, nonprofits, and museums developing programs for children through adults.
She was the public education manager at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and the executive director of the Center for Architecture Foundation while in New York.
Erin is an alumna of CCA's MFA Program in Writing and as an undergraduate, she double-majored in art history and studio art with an emphasis on photography, installation, and social practice.

Andrew has a background in education, the arts, and social media. Through his work and studies at Pratt Institute, he has developed a passion for helping students achieve their personal and professional goals.
Andrew has both an undergraduate degree in English and a master's degree in the history of art and design. He is excited to share his diverse experiences with CCA's students and alumni.
Graduate Intern for Career Development | Oakland
Gil is a graduate student in the master counseling program at San Francisco State University. His specialization is college counseling with an emphasis in career counseling.
His focus is on assisting CCA students and alumni in marketing their education, experiences, and skills to achieve their career aspirations as well as informing students and alumni of the resources and tools available to them.
Graduate Intern for Career Development | San Francisco
Francesca Thompson is a third-year graduate student at San Francisco State University working toward her master degree in counseling, with a specialization in college and career.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Francesca took a major leap at 18 and moved out to California on her own. She graduated in 2010 from San Francisco State with a bachelor degree in psychology and a minor in human sexuality studies.
Francesca’s mission is to help students succeed and achieve their personal, academic, and career goals.
As a first-generation college student, Francesca's hope is to empower and advocate for students as well as allow them to discover their career ambition.
International Peer Coach for Career Development
Hubert Wang is a fourth-year Film major. He is an international student from Taiwan, who is also Canadian.
He is actively involved at CCA in the Student Affairs Office, specifically the International Student Affairs and Programs (ISAP) and Chimera leadership.
Hubert is eager to use his experience and enthusiasm to assist fellow students. He is a big fan of LinkedIn, and has great ideas about networking.
