What to Bring
About Residence Hall Living
Please refer to the checklist below for suggested items to bring to set up your new home away from home. (Note: The list is not exhaustive, but rather a general overview.)
What you'll find . . .
Avenue Apartments, Clifton Hall, Irwin Hall, Harriet Street Residences, and Webster Hall residents are provided with an extra-long twin bed, dresser, and desk. Students also have access to kitchens equipped with ovens, stoves, sinks, and microwave ovens.
California Street Residences have standard twin beds, a dresser, and a desk. Students also have access to kitchens equipped with ovens, stoves, sinks, and microwave ovens and access to lounge areas that are equipped with cable televisions. Residents must bring their own a microwave and refrigerator/freezer unit or store items in the refrigerators/freezers located in the shared spaces.
Clifton Hall, Irwin Hall, and Webster Hall rooms each have microwave and refrigerator/freezer units and access to lounge areas that are equipped with cable televisions.
Avenue Apartment residents share a full-size refrigerator in each unit. Rooms are cable-ready, but students must provide their own televisions.
CCA is a safe and caring environment, but, like your home, it still requires forethought about protecting personal belongings. As you are deciding what to bring, we also encourage you to talk to your insurance agent and consider some form of renter's insurance.
