The Office of Student Life hosts many different kinds of annual events. Please be sure to mark your calendars! View the Student Life Events Calendar to see upcoming events.
(September & January)
After new student orientation, we kick off the start of the semester with our biannual Chimeratopia, a community resource fair. This is a great opportunity for new and returning students to get acquainted with everything the college and the surrounding greater Bay Area community has to offer. In addition to college departments, clubs, and organizations, neighborhood businesses will promote student discounts and give out freebies. And the awesome taco truck will also be on hand (provided by the Alumni Association).
CCA sponsors two blood drives spring semester and are held on the San Francisco and Oakland campuses. Nationwide someone needs a unit of blood every two to three seconds, and most of us will need blood during our lifetime. A need for blood always exists, and only volunteer donors can fill that need for patients in our community. For more information, including eligibility guidelines, go to www.bloodcenters.org.
