Financial Aid

CCA's Arts-Education Partnership

At California College of the Arts, we partner with you and your family to ensure you achieve your goals. Our financial aid program is designed to help make CCA more affordable so all students reach their creative potential.

In 2009–10 the college expects to award more than $13 million in college-funded scholarships and over $34 million in combined scholarships, grants, loans, and employment. Over 75 percent of CCA's students will receive college-funded merit and need-based scholarships.

Commitment to Students

CCA pledges to maintain a consistent level of scholarship funding each year. You can expect to receive an equivalent offer of total-gift assistance for each year you are enrolled full time and remain in good academic standing. (Note: this pledge is contingent on your family's financial situation remaining relatively unchanged while enrolled at CCA.) The college is committed to ensuring all students earn their degrees.

We expect all eligible financial aid recipients to continue to apply for any state or federal awards, which ensures the college maximizes its resources and continues to meet its commitment to as many students as possible.

New for 2010–11: CCA to Participate in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program

To streamline the educational loan process and improve student service, CCA is moving from the Federal Stafford Loan program to the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan program effective summer 2010.

Students will continue to have access to federal educational loans: direct subsidized, unsubsidized, PLUS, and graduate PLUS.

The Financial Aid Office will provide CCA students and families additional information and instructions pertaining to the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan process in spring 2010.

For additional information, see Educational Loans as well as review the Direct Loan Program FAQ.
