We celebrate work that demonstrates social and environmental responsibility. Our dynamic community pushes boundaries and takes a broad view of our roles in creating a healthful future. Our programs cultivate graduates who will produce theoretically engaged, real-world work.
We believe our students are world makers. Visiting artists and lecturers, cutting-edge studio facilities, and numerous special opportunities enable students to explore new territories and shape their professional paths.
Each master's program features its own distinctive curriculum as well as a rich menu of graduate elective seminars. With a combination of rigorous, compelling courses, a full calendar of activities and events, and opportunities for meaningful interaction within the college community and the Bay Area at large, CCA's programs enable graduate students to exceed personal goals, prepare for professional challenges, and launch successful careers in the arts.
Applying
See Graduate Applications for how to apply to each specific graduate program as well as to learn about events geared toward prospective graduate students.
Financial Aid
The time to start exploring financial aid options is now. CCA's Financial Aid Office has many resources about student loans, scholarships, and other need-based aid, yet information can also be accessed by visiting a local public library and inquiring about lists of potential grants and scholarships at the reference desk.
Additional lesser-known scholarships in the amounts of $100 to $5,000 dollars exist. Research your options and pay attention to all deadlines (some applications are due at the end of December).
Only U.S. citizens can qualify for federal student loans or most CCA scholarships. Non-U.S. citizens should inquire with their country's government educational agencies and banks immediately to find potential financial resources. International aid can take many months to arrange. Start researching as soon as possible.
