Student Services

The Career Services Office is dedicated to providing valuable career-development resources and services to CCA's currently enrolled students and alumni. Take a look below at the following services conveniently provided on each campus (San Francisco and Oakland).

Career Counseling: One-on-one résumé review, job search strategies, and interview skills coaching available to all CCA students and recent alumni. To request a career counseling appointment, either email careerservices@cca.edu, including your preferred days and times you'd be able to meet at the SF campus, or drop in Monday or Tuesday to the SF campus from 10 a.m.–noon for a brief advising appointment.

Career Expo: CCA’s annual internship and job fair that offers students the opportunity to connect and interview with a wide selection of high-profile, creative industry employers

Café Résumé: An informal drop-in event at which students can have tea, cookies, while receiving feedback on their résumés in preparation for CCA's Career Expo. The next Cafe Resume will take place from 1p.m.- 3p.m. on March 4, 2010. Find out more on the student affairs Events Calendar.

Career Symposium: Annual day-long series of workshop and panel discussions to assist students and alumni in their career development

Libraries: Containing art and design specific career-development books, resources, and publications

Online Job Board: Comprising over 14,000 registered employers and over 4,000 student and alumni users, students and alumni can find on-campus work-study positions, internships, part- and full-time freelance work, and artists’ call for entries. Visit CCA's Job Board today.

Curriculum: Career Services works closely with the Fine Arts department in the support of the Fine Art Internship course and the Fine Arts Professional Practices course. Career Services also collaborates with the Center for Public Art and Public Life's Community Service Fellowship program.

Portfolio review sessions: The Career Services Office also is home to the Architecture program's and Industrial Design program weekly one-on-one portfolio review meetings, as well as many junior- and senior-level professional practice workshops.
