As Senior Product Manager at Redis, the world’s fastest data platform, Purna Mehta values the intersection of creativity and business strategy. Drawn to CCA’s MBA in Design Strategy program for its unconventional approach to a business-focused curriculum, she brings curiosity and a design-centered approach into her work and life. Mehta stays inspired by blending structure with artistic vision, using this approach to uncover new patterns and connections. Looking ahead, she’s focused on advancing AI innovation at Redis, and sharing her insights on creative problem-solving within the industry.

1. What is your current practice/business?
I’m a Senior Product Manager at Redis, where I apply design thinking and creative leadership to shape cloud-native data products that power real-time and AI-driven applications. I bring together cross-functional teams to uncover user needs, translate them into product strategy, and build solutions that help enterprises innovate with speed and clarity.
2. Why did you choose CCA?
I was drawn to the program because of its business-focused curriculum delivered in an unconventional and innovative learning environment.
3. If you could share one piece of advice with current or future students, what would it be?
Stay curious and embrace challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. Always seek diverse perspectives—they often lead to the best solutions. Most importantly, embody the core principles of design thinking, as they will truly set you apart in the future.
4. What's your secret to staying inspired and creative?
I balance logic and creativity, blending what I need to do with what I enjoy. This approach helps me uncover unexpected patterns and connect ideas in innovative ways.
5. What do you have coming up?
I’m currently exploring how Redis can power the next generation of AI applications—especially around agentic memory and real-time intelligence. I’m also passionate about mentoring emerging product leaders and sharing insights on creative problem-solving through design thinking at upcoming industry events.
