Designing the Future Designer: A Speculative Workshop on Identity, Agency, and Craft in an AI-First World

Monday, June 8 | 6:30—8 pm | Novack Hub for Creative Citizens (145 Hooper Street)

The job description for "designer" is rapidly changing as AI shifts the industry bottleneck from making to choosing. Join design leaders Elizabeth Glenewinkel and Justin Rheinfrank for a hands-on workshop—part sparring match and part design sprint—where you'll challenge assumptions, debate the future, and collaboratively design the archetype for tomorrow’s designer. This session is essential for anyone interested in shaping how the design profession will evolve over the next five years.

Agentic AI Design Workshop: From Play to Prototype

Wednesday, June 10, 2—3 pm | Novack Hub for Creative Citizens (145 Hooper Street)

This 90-minute workshop is for the design-curious and AI-curious. Learn the full arc of designing an AI agent, from initial play to a working prototype. Through three hands-on activities—Enact, Author, Deploy—you'll bodystorm a scenario, write the behavioral rules, and see your agent run live on Agent Studio, no coding required. By the end, you'll walk away with a real sense of how intelligent systems are designed and a QR code linking to the working AI your group built.
