Amrit Sandhu (b. 1999) is an artist based in Oakland, California. She has exhibited her work in New York City, San Francisco, and Chandigarh, India. Growing up in Northern California, her work traces how generational memory is re-authored across borders and how routine and ritual shape experience within inherited and adopted landscapes. Using materials drawn from daily and ceremonial practice, she examines the social and affective roles these objects occupy in everyday life. She received a BFA from California College of the Arts in 2025.

Helena Garzotto is a San Francisco–based furniture maker and interdisciplinary artist from Portland, Oregon. She attended California College of the Arts in San Francisco, where she received a BFA in Furniture Design.

Helena was first introduced to woodworking during her gap year in Denmark, her mother’s homeland, where she came in close range of mid-century modern design aesthetics and Danish folkcraft histories. Bringing along those influences to California, she was met with and captivated by the intuitive and tender treatment of wood by local makers such as JB Blunk and Ido Yoshimoto, who react to and emphasize natural-found elements in the material.

Helena’s practice exists at the junction of these and many other influences. Her work mediates contrasts and tensions, and aims to probe questions about how it is made, asking people to confront the processes that happen behind the curtain.
