Happening October 12
California College of the Arts is the action-oriented art and design school in San Francisco. Through a blend of theory and practice, we inspire our students to make work that matters, shaping the progress of their individual lives, ideas, and communities.
Join us for a special Saturday in San Francisco as we open our newly expanded campus for you to explore. Tour brand-new studios, makerspaces, and state-of-the-art labs, and connect with the CCA community, ask questions, and get key info about financial aid.

Tour our all-new campus
Be the first to preview our recently expanded, state-of-the-art campus in tours of all-new shops and studios, expansive architecture, and student housing. You’ll get to experience:
New campus highlights
- Indoor-outdoor maker yards (for when your imagination goes beyond four walls)
- Brand-new labs for 3D experimentation, material exploration, and digital fabrication
- New studios for craft, such as ceramics, metalsmithing, molding, furniture making, and more
- And our re-imagined Digital Craft Lab that now boasts a 12-foot KUKA robot
Your home away from home
- The Main Campus, inducing the Nave, an expansive, central concourse with classrooms and makerspaces, directly adjoining the new campus
- Plus, preview your first year, in tours of student housing and First Year Studios
Tours are about one-hour long and start every half hour, from 10 am–1 pm.
Connect and learn
Attend an informal session hosted by friendly CCA staff to learn more about different types of financial aid and eligibility, as well as how to put together a stellar application portfolio. And join us for coffee and refreshments as you meet and greet admissions counselors, faculty members, campus partners, and fellow visitors.

How to plan your visit
Getting to campus
By rideshare — A rideshare service can drop you off directly in front of our main campus building.
By car—Limited parking is also available along streets adjacent to our campus, with a four-hour time limit. There are parking garages in the neighborhood.
By public transportation — Campus is accessible by BART with Muni bus connections at Civic Center station or 16th Street station or by Muni with nearby stops for the 19, 22, and 55 bus lines.
From the airport — San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is about 12 miles (19.3 kilometers) from campus. There are several options for getting to campus from the airport, and SFO also has shuttle services that provide transportation to any destination in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area.
Lodging in San Francisco
Our campus is located in the Design District near Potrero Hill, with the Chase Center, the most prominent neighborhood landmark, less than a mile away.
Out-of-town visitors like to stay at the following nearby hotels: Hyatt Place (701 Third Street); Hotel Via (138 King Street); and Luma Hotel (100 Channel Street).
