With the fall 2020 semester right around the corner, CCA has launched a series of virtual registration meetings for the nearly 1,000 continuing undergraduate students to make scheduling adjustments and address any and all questions and concerns they have about remote learning at the college.
Modeled after old-school “gym” registrations—where students lined up at a series of tables in a high school or college gymnasium to enroll in classes—the daily, virtual registration events bring representatives from offices across CCA directly to students and their families in a quick, private Zoom session. The goal is to offer one spot to get everything taken care of—including registration, financial aid, student accounts, advising, international student services, education technology, health insurance, and access/disability services—before the semester starts. No waiting in line (or gym!) required.
Over 50 staff members from Enrollment Management, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Educational Technology Services are on hand during the registration events for one-on-one consultations with students. Because every student has a unique set of circumstances—different class requirements, financial aid needs, time zones, access to materials and technology, and so on—these face-to-face meetings can be tailored to each student’s individual needs and situation to support their academic progress.
Virtual registration appointments are available to all continuing undergraduate students Tuesday, August 12, through Saturday, August 15, between 3–8 pm PT.
