Fall 2022 Open House

Get an inside look at CCA on Saturday, October 8

You’re invited to join us in San Francisco to preview our studios, tour our campus, and ask your questions about the college. Whether you are just starting to explore the idea of art school or already have CCA on your short list, this event is a great way to get to know California College of the Arts!

  • Learn about our campus on a walking tour guided by a CCA student ambassador to check out our studios, classrooms, and workspaces.
  • See brand new studios for Photography, Printmedia, Fashion Design, and Textiles.
  • Experience student housing in a tour of our new residence hall and dining commons.
  • Enjoy refreshments in a meet and greet with CCA faculty and admissions staff, and get to know more about our programs and the CCA community!

Open House sessions

Create your own itinerary when you register for the event. Each session is an hour long and can be completed in any order. We encourage guests to take advantage of each of the tour offerings, especially our highlighted tours of our brand new Fashion, Textiles, Printmedia, and Photography studios!

Meet and greet with faculty

Take a break between your tour sessions for a reception with refreshments and the opportunity to get to know CCA faculty members and staff.

Sign up soon—spaces are limited!

Advance registration is required to attend CCA’s Open House. We have staggered tour times in order to reduce crowding, so guests are welcome to show up at the time of their first registered session and may leave after they have finished exploring our campus.

Before you arrive

We kindly ask all guests to comply with our campus's COVID-19 health and safety protocol. All visitors will be required to show verification that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before entry into the event. Per college policy, masks covering nose and mouth are required while in public spaces on campus

Live in a creative community

Our San Francisco residence communities, Founders and Blattner Halls, are steps away from the campus, the city, and inspiration. Whether you’re a first-year, transfer, international, or continuing student, there’s a home away from the studio for you.

All undergraduate students live on campus for their first two years at CCA, so you can connect with your peers and future collaborators through social events and residential programming. Save with a meal plan in the brand-new Makers Cafe—conveniently located across the street from campus on the ground floor of Founders Hall—for affordable and healthy eating options.

Explore Founders Hall, our newest residence hall for first- and second-year students, complete with a sustainable cafe and a rooftop lounge with sweeping views of the bay.

Blattner Hall is an apartment-style residence hall for continuing undergraduate and transfer students.
